Meet Dr Shelby Saunders, Chiropractor
If you like care that’s practical, movement-focused, and easy to understand, you’ll feel at home with Dr Shelby. She’s also a certified Pilates instructor with a genuine interest in how the body moves, adapts, and holds up over the long haul. She grew up in Perth and spent her sports-filled childhood observing how people use chiropractic care to stay active.
After completing a five-year double degree in Chiropractic at Murdoch University in 2019, she has continued to build a broad set of hands-on, movement-based skills, enabling her to tailor each plan to the person in front of her.
Blending Hands-on Skill with Movement Education
Dr Shelby is trained in Diversified and SOT® techniques, with further training in dry needling, soft-tissue approaches, Pilates, and paediatric care. This mix helps her adapt to different bodies, preferences, and seasons of life. Some people want a firmer hands-on approach; others prefer a lighter touch. She’s comfortable with both and will explain the options clearly so you can choose.
Education is a big part of every visit. Dr Shelby is known for using simple, light-hearted analogies (the kind that actually stick) to explain what’s happening and what to do next.
Experience Across Regional and Remote Australia
Dr Shelby has worked across regional and remote Australia, including Tom Price (now Perth), local Aboriginal communities, FIFO sites in the Northern Territory, and a range of locum roles throughout WA.
A standout moment was volunteering in the 2020 Hands On India program, where she was part of a team providing chiropractic care and basic health services to underserved communities. It was a powerful reminder that good health information and hands-on care can make a meaningful difference when access is limited.
Also Welcoming Patients in the Southern Wheatbelt
Dr Shelby also runs her own practice in the Southern Wheatbelt. Her aim is straightforward: support improved movement and build strength after injury or strain, while identifying habits that may help you manage future flare-ups.
